Powerhouse performance makes Miele different.

This S180 Series is equipped with Miele’s Powerhouse motor system.  This high output vacuum cleaner motor provides enduring muscle to generate great suction power for you to confidently tackle virtually any cleaning assignment in your home.  Additionally, the motor provides the power to spin the beater bar at a high rate of speed, allowing you to thoroughly yet gently separate fibers to remove debris logged deep down in the carpet.  In order to move easily from carpeting to smooth surfaces like hardwood or tile, each vacuum cleaner comes standard with a smooth floor switch.  Simply move the switch to disengage the beater var. and you are ready to glide over the area.   A unique front-edge space cleaning, included on the S185 model, provides full-width cleaning around baseboards and moldings.

Recent studies have shown that more than 70 million Americans suffer from asthma or allergies.  Vacuuming can amplify these conditions as some vacuum cleaners create an invisible plume of microscopic dust particles such as pollen, dust and dust mite feces into the air as they “clean” your flooring.  Miele’s Powerhouse vacuums are not among these culprits.  Crafted with an airtight chamber, virtually all of these particles are trapped in a Miele.  First, most particles do not stand a chance of penetrating Miele’s revolutionary IntensiveClean dustbag.  This durable, electrostatically charged bag attracts and retains tiny particles in order to reduce pass-through to the motor compartment.  If some particles do pass through, Miele’s HEPA filter will run defense, holding them back from release into your home’s environment.  Quality construction and a focus on indoor air quality sets Miele apart from every other brand in the area of vacuum filtration.

The body casing of a Powerhouse vacuum incorporates a lengthy stretch hose and onboard tools into its sleek design.  Whether you are cleaning a modest appartment or an expansive home, Powerhouse offers a tremendous cleaning reach – from over 30 feet on the S183 model, to more than 35 feet on the S185 Powerhouse Plus.  This allows you to conveniently operate, without frequent stops to unplug and plug back in.  All models have an advanced, self-adjusting brush roll to allow for easy transition from a variety of carpet heights and densities.
